FAQ

Where should I check-in?

If you’re unsure which house you’ll be staying at, check the [Housing] page to confirm. If you are staying at Agriturismo Lecanfore, check-in there first, then make your way to Casale del Gallo.

What is the best way to get around?

There is no public transportation next to the venues. If you don’t have a car, you will need at least a cab or a rideshare to the nearest metro station, grocery store, etc.

According to our host, Giulio, the most cost effective solution is to rent a car directly from the airport after landing and use that for the remaining of the trip.

The road between Casale del Gallo and Agriturismo Lecanfore is around 5kms. The walk would take 1h 10mins, but we strongly discourage you from doing that, as the road is not well lit and there are no sidewalks. The average Uber price between the two properties is around 20-25 euros one way.

Private transfers can be arranged by the venue upon request - if you’d like help organising one, please indicate it on the form.

We will provide transportation between the Agriturismo and the Casale on the wedding night, but not on the other days.

What meals are provided?

Thursday: Pizza Night (freshly made in the venue’s pizza oven)
Saturday: Wedding Dinner
Sunday: No formal dinner, but we’ll plan communal cooking for anyone who wants to join in!
Daily Breakfast:
- At Agriturismo Lecanfore, breakfast is included.
- At Casale del Gallo, we’ll organise a morning grocery run to stock up on coffee, eggs, bread, fruit, and veggies.

How long should I stay for?

How long you stay with us in Rome is entirely up to you. We have secured accommodation for all those dates and would love to spend the time being with you. We hope you’ll treat this as a mini-vacation - relax, unwind, and enjoy the Italian sunshine together. Of course, if you cannot make it for the entire duration, we completely understand.

What should I bring as a gift? Is there a registry?

No registry! Instead, please bring a vinyl record of your favorite album. We’ll have our vinyl player at the venue so we can enjoy everyone's favorites throughout the weekend! Feel free to write any messages on the inner liner of the album or slide a sheet of paper in there.

Additionally, if you wish to contribute financially, we have an online pot that will be used for communal activities, other guests' flights or our honeymoon fund (many thanks to Morgan & Alex for the website tip).

What is the dress code?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Seriously. There are people attending from various backgrounds, and some people will likely dress more formal (aka Denisa's mom) whilst others might choose more casual. If you're in need of specific guidance, we would recommend smart casual with linen fabrics - perfect for the heat.

What is the weather usually like in Rome during the time of the wedding?

We are writing this on June 11 - it is boiling already. The nights get comfortably breezy, but the afternoons are very hot. Make sure you always have water with you, and remember that air conditioning and free water in Italy are not as widely available as in the US. Stay hydraged, wear sunscreen!

Here's what you can expect based on previous years:
- Highs: 29-32°C (85-90°F)
- Lows: 18-21°C (65-70°F)
- Moderate humidity
- Long daylight hours (sunset around 8:45 PM)

What should I pack?

- Swimsuit (there’s a pool!)
- Comfortable shoes (lots of grass)
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, sunhat
- Refillable water bottle (the public drinking fountains of Rome have delicious water)
- Light shawl or long-sleeve top for churches (shoulders must be covered)
- A light evening layer for breezy nights
